Considering this list, you'll probably love Carole King's Tapestry. I only recently discovered it.

Thanks Ruben. I had a look at the AMG entry for Carole King, and what an interesting discovery indeed. I'm surprised I hadn't heard of her before, considering those influences and connections. And to think that Neil Sedaka wrote Oh! Carol in her honor. That was one of my earliest favorite songs. It's off to the record store tomorrow.
